Now as you all know, Sonic Mania for Steam was released on 30 August 2017 for Windows PC. Just 8 days afterward, the DRM in the game got officially cracked, and not only that. The cracked version also works offline on any Apple Mac! Below are the steps to install it!

 

 

Software Requirements!

-Wineskin Winery (Link is in the 'DOWNLOADS' tab!)
-Sonic Mania Crack zip file (Link is in the 'DOWNLOADS' tab!)
-At least Mac OSX Snow Leopard or higher!

-Any Unrar app. (Get it from the Appstore.)

 

Steps! 

1: Download Wineskin Winery and set everything up. (If you don't know how to setup Wineskin for the first time, then just go watch a YouTube tutorial on it. It's quick and super easy to set up!)
2: Download the Sonic Mania Crack file. (May come in either a .rar or .zip extension.)
3: If you don't have a file extractor yet, then please download one from the App Store. (Like UnRar, Winzip etc.)
4: Open Finder and navigate to the Sonic Mania Crack file that you have just downloaded. Right-click on the Sonic Mania Crack rar (or zip) file and select 'Open With - (File extractor name here)' and extract the folder inside the file to your desktop. The folder will most likely be called "Sonic.Mania-CPY."
5: Open that folder, then open the next folder called "skidrowamesreloaded.com." Inside that folder, you will get two files. The one that we will need is called "cpy-sm.iso." Double tap on that .sio file and a window will pop up showing some random files and folders etc. Make a new folder on your desktop and call it "SANIC MANIAZ" and move all of those files (that popped up) into that folder.
6: Now Open the Wineskin app and Create a new blank wrapper. (Any engine chosen will work.) Call the Wrapper "SonicMania" and select ok. It will start creating the wrapper.
7: Once it has finished, select "Open Wrapper in Finder" and it will take you to the Wrapper that it just created inside Finder. Right-click on that Wrapper (called "SonicMania") and select "Show package contents."
8: It will now most likely show 2 folders and an app called "Wineskin."
9: Open the folder called "drive_c" and then click on the "Program Files" folder. Move the "SANIC MANIAZ" folder (that you have created in Step 5) into the "Program Files" folder. 
10: Now navigate back to the 2 folders and "Wineskin" file from Step 8. Double tap on "Wineskin" and it will open a small Wineskin menu. Select "Advanced" then click on "Browse" (next to the text box that says "nothing.exe.")
11: Now click on "Program Files" - "SANIC MANIAZ" - And click on "setup.exe." Then choose it and click on "Test Run." (This will start the Sonic Mania setup wizard.)
12: In the setup, keep clicking next until it says "Additional Shortcuts." Uncheck those two boxes then proceed by clicking "next."
13: Click "Install" and it will install the files. Now, wait for about 5 Minutes.
14: When it's Finished, then click "Finish." A box will come up that says "Test Run Complete!" Click on "Cancel."
15: It will take you back to the Wineskin Advanced Menu. Now exit out of it completely by clicking the red traffic light icon in the top left corner.
16: Navigate back to "drive_c" - "Program Files" and you will see a new folder called "Sonic Mania." Ignore it for now and click on "SANIC MANIAZ." Then click on the "Crack" folder and inside the "Crack" folder, select all of the files inside of it. Copy all of them to the inside of the newly created "Sonic Mania" folder. (If a box comes up, then click on "replace.")
17: You can now go back and delete the entire "SANIC MANIAZ" folder if you want.
18: Now go back to the 2 folders and "Wineskin" app (from Step 8) and double-tap on "Wineskin." Click on "Advanced" and click on "Browse" (that is next to the text-box). Now click on "Program Files" - "Sonic Mania" and choose the "SonicMania.exe" file.
19: Now it will go back to the Wineskin Advanced menu. Click on "Tools" and then "Winetricks" and search (inside the search box above) for: xact
20: Click on the little arrow that is next to "dlls." and check "xact_jun2010." Now click 'Run." (It will take another 5 minutes to install the sound drivers!)
21: Once it has finished, click "Close" and then "Set Screen Options." Select "Override" and you will see a bunch of new options appear. Change "Rootless" to "Fullscreen" and change "force normal windows" to "Use these settings." Now click "Done."
22: Exit out of everything again by clicking the red traffic light button in the top left corner.
23: You will be back at the 2 folders and "Wineskin" file. Go back again and you will be back at the "SonicMania" Wrapper app.
24: Click on "SonicMania" and confirm that the game is working. If it is working, then inside the game, go to "Settings" and turn Full Screen on. Enjoy Sonic Mania! :)

25: (Optional) You can drag the "SonicMania" wrapper app to your "Applications" folder for easier access!
